I terrorize level 400 or higher Mafia Wars toons who made the mistake of making their account Energy-heavy. A pro Mafia Wars player will shudder and avoid pissing me off. True, I use dollar power and bought some virtual items with PayPal and I regret wasting that money now. But as I have said, it’s like smoking. You waste money on something that is causing you cancer – and you enjoy doing it!
I played in addict-mode from October to December of 2009. Believe me when I say I played Mafia Wars 10-16 hours every day. I played at home and I played at work! My girlfriend then dumped me because of Mafia Wars. I also stopped my daily French lessons because it was getting in the way of my Mafia Wars game time!
Heed my warning; don’t ever try playing Mafia Wars. It is worst than smoking. At least cigarettes only cause a few dollars every month. Mafia Wars can make you spend hundreds of dollars on it. I have a Level 1,044 Mafia Wars friend from Germany that bought more than $2,000 worth of Godfather Points from Zynga since 2008. He is a dentist and he is still hooked and playing— and spending his Euros on Mafia Wars up to now…
Quitting my Mafia Wars habit was my top New Year’s resolution. I’m glad I got over it. I now have the time to hang out with friends again. I might go back to my Pimsleur French CD lessons but first I am trying to shed 20 pounds I gained last year from compulsively playing Mafia Wars. Gotta do some walking and jogging!
